2009 is the International year of Astronomy. Keep an eye out for the Space Station flying overhead. If you see a fireball, please report it to Cloudbait Observatory.

**Friday night laser shows** -- Recommended for ages 15 & up:
Sommers-Bausch Observatory is OPEN for FREE stargazing & planet-watching on Friday nights after 9:00pm in the month of June (weather permitting)!
There will be no Saturday Matinee's during the Summer and will resume on August 29th

If you are planning to visit Fiske with a large group and need Bus and/or Van parking, please call our main office (303) 492-5002 to check on the current parking situation.

For locally-obtained images and narration, please link to video. Thanks to Vern Raben (Longmont Astronomical Society), here's what we can see over the next few days:
- The Summer Triangle is clearly visable later in the evening. The stars that make up the Summer Triangle include: Deneb, Vega & Altair
- Venus is now reaching greatest western elongation and clearly visable just before sunrise.
- Saturn is behind the constellation Leo after sunset.
- For other events in February or help locating anything in the sky (such as satellites overhead), visit your local astronomical society and NASA's Amateur Astronomy webpage.
