Party at Fiske

Celebrate your special events and Fiske Planetarium! Our classroom, lobby, or theater may be rented anytime other events are not already scheduled. Our staff can even provide special presentations for your group, including recorded music or laser shows!

Children's Birthday Parties

• Basic: The Basic Birthday Party includes table/chair set-up for up to 15 people and one staff person at $50/hour.
• Sound: The Sound Birthday Party includes Basic Party, microphone use, light tower and vibrating floor at $75/hour.
• Telescope: The Telescope Birthday Party includes Basic Party and eight (8) refracting telescopes to build, decorate, and take home at $100/hour. (Note: For each additional telescope beyond 8, please add $6/telescope.)
• Laser: The Laser Show Birthday Party includes Basic party in classroom and any Family Friendly show (30 minutes, staff included) in theater for up to 15 people at $150/hour.

All children's parties are one-hour long. For each additional hour, please plan on $50/hour (or so, depending on what you need). For each additional person, please add $3.50/person (regardless of age). Parties scheduled outside regular Fiske hours may be subject to a flat $25. surcharge.

Bar/Bat Mitzvahs

Theater rental available for religious services, laser shows to music of Jewish artists (such as the Beastie Boys) or live music. Please contact us for more info and to arrange a tour of the planetarium to help you plan your event.

Quinceañeras

Theater rental available for laser shows or live music. Please contact us for more info and to arrange a tour of the planetarium to help you plan your event.

Weddings

Theater rental available for marriage proposals, wedding ceremonies, laser shows or live music. Please contact us for more info and to arrange a tour of the planetarium to help you plan your event.

Holiday Parties

Theater rental available for holiday Star Shows, laser shows or live music. Please contact us for more info and to arrange a tour of the planetarium to help you plan your event.

Notes

• Food and beverages may be enjoyed in the lobby or classroom. Children's birthday parties are one hour each and take place in the classroom, unless arranged otherwise.
• Lobby rental (includes table/chair set-up for up to 60 people) is $85/hour or $250/1st three hours. Additional chairs/tables can be rented for up to 125 people.
• Staff costs must be added to any rental event that is not a child's birthday party. Staff costs range from $15-$25/hour depending on service(s) provided.
• If you choose to attend a regularly scheduled public show (such as a Saturday afternoon matinee), then your group of 15 or more people qualifies for a group discount of 20% off regular admission prices. Please arrange this discount in advance. Admission to public shows may be paid on the day of the event.
• Reservation and deposit required for all rentals. To confirm rental of Fiske space, equipment and/or personnel, please provide a deposit roughly equal to 1/3 estimated cost (excluding public show admission) at least two weeks before the scheduled event, with the remainder due on the day of the event. If the event is cancelled within two weeks of the scheduled date, then Fiske Planetarium will retain the deposit in lieu of revenues lost.
